Staffers at the LA Times openly protested the paper's increasingly right-leaning owner on Slack after he failed to defend one of his employees in an interview. The messages, first reported by Status, were sent hours after Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong's appeared on Dr. Drew's YouTube show on Tuesday. There, the pharma billionaire - who has offered repeated praise for Donald Trump - was challenged by Pinsky over his paper's coverage of him.
