Mindy Kaling recalled a 'heartbreaking' exchange she recently witnessed between her seven-year-old daughter Katherine and her ex-boyfriend B.J. Novak, who's the godfather of all three of her children. The 45-year-old Vengeance director-star was one of five guests attending the 'low-key' first birthday party of the 45-year-old Running Point co-creator's youngest daughter Anne at her father Avu Chokalingam's LA house on Monday night. In honor of the 'cheap' festivities, Mindy (born Vera Chokalingam) donned an Elmo costume she bought from Amazon back in 2018, a tradition which her four-year-old son Spencer has become 'clearly indifferent' to.
